Can You Count on Card Counting?

Card Counting is one of the best strategies that a Blackjack player can and must learn. Card counting is also an effective means to increase the winning odds of an aspiring player.

The basic premise of card counting is the high cards. This is the most important card for players. Card counting is not about memorizing the cards but only keeping track of high cards from the deck.

It is Ed Thorp that has been given the credit for being the father of card counting. Ed Thorp is also the man behind the modernization of card counting today. However, Ed Thorp is not the one who invented card counting or the first to use it for winning Blackjack.

Card counting has been an effective strategy for many Blackjack players that have been successful. Learning card counting should start with the basic card counting system of all. This is the Hi-Lo Count; this is the easiest counting strategy that you can learn and master.

Begin card counting with only one card. Start counting cards slowly, do not rush just take your time. But, make sure are doing it precisely and accurately.

After you have done counting cards by one, this time do it by dealing two cards at the same time.

By doing so, this can help you increase your speed since you are card counting card combinations.

Next try card counting with 3 card combination and then 4 card combination at the same time.

After your fourth exercise, that is card counting with a 4 card combination, the next step you should do is first, time your self and second, count the whole deck of cards faster.

There are experienced card counters that can count the whole deck of cards in less than 30 seconds. And they count the cards 100% accurate!

For new and aspiring card counters this may sound difficult and tough so we suggest that you practice, practice and practice as often as you can. Be consistent in learn card counting; do not give up after a first try. Everyday set time for your self to practice and learn to stick with your schedule. Do not stop until you are winning some real money at the Blackjack table. Remember that practice makes perfect.

One thing more, when you are inside the casino there will be many distractions. So try to concentrate. Practice with noise around you; it may help to turn your television and radio on while practicing.
